UMR Workplace

This project consists on the refurbishment an old 4 storey shop lot to new workspaces. Before the reform, 4 levels were totally divided and configurated as different businesses and offices. However the aim of the project was exactly the opposite: generate a connected workspaces....

In such a way, we introduced a lift as a horizontal access and independent access of stairs that lead to the upper floors. Ground floor consists of reception, and discussion rooms, first and second floors are offices. The second floor, the highest, is the director workspace and entertainment room.

The choice of materials also reflect on the spatial functionality of the workplace. In the public space, large format white tiles, white wall and ceiling were used, so light and bright elements flood the interior spaces. As in the director and conference rooms, wood is the protagonist, it is used in some walls, ceilings, and shelves, wood brings warmth and calm to the workspace.
